Overview
The park is at the base of Mount Meru, which is good for climbing. It has a range of habitats
including forest – home to the black-and-white colobus monkey – and is excellent for birding.
Despite its smaller size you will find a variety of interesting landscape features within the park,
including the Ngurdoto Crater, Mommela Lakes and Tululusia waterfalls.
For those interested in exploring by foot, Arusha National Park is the only park in Northern
Tanzania where you may experience a walking safari. Safari in the Arusha National Park means
a light walking with armed ranger, drive around Momela Lakes.

Pick up in the morning from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and drive to the National Park and
Transfer from your hotel to the gate of Arusha National Park, the Momella Gate.
The park has an incredible variety of flora and fauna, which cannot fail to impress. Your day trip
will include a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and
baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species.
If Interested in Walking then at the Momella Gate, an armed guard ranger will be waiting to
accompany you on your walking safari that will give you a chance to experience the wildlife up-
close.
Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon, we will take you back to Arusha/
Moshi.
