1 Day Kilimanjaro hike via Machame Route is one of Short Kilimanjaro Trips for one Day
Kilimanjaro Climb. This short Kilimanjaro trek you will experience the adventure of climbing
Africa's highest peak; although this excursion only takes you to Machame Camp 3000 m at the
first Camp it will reward you with spectacular views and plenty of excitement.
Trekking from Machame Gate – Machame Camp and descend back
You will be pickup at your hotel and drive about 35km from Moshi town to Machame gate,
which will take about 45 minutes – 1 hour. At Machame get you will make registration and
payment and get valid permit to start hiking adventure. The hiking starts at Machame gate at
1800 and distance covered to Machame camp is 11km (22km round trip) which will take 4-5
hours for each direction.
Montane forest is the main attraction and it starts a few minutes after crossing the main gate. It is
dense forest with a lot of species of plant such as Impatient Kilimanjaro, a flower which is found
only at Mount Kilimanjaro. You might also see Blue Monkeys and black and white Colubus
Monkeys.
