1: Agreement to Terms

By confirming a booking with Camelleon Safaris, the client (hereafter referred to as “Badger 2” – the first named person on the booking) agrees to these Terms and Conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Camelleon Safaris.

2: Making a Booking

Bookings can be made via email, phone, or through our website. Once an itinerary and price are agreed upon, Camelleon Safaris will issue a booking confirmation. Clients must review all information and notify us immediately of any changes or errors. Passport names, nationalities, and key travel details are required for all participants.

3: Government-Regulated Fees & Taxes

Tour prices include park entry fees, camping fees, conservation charges, and VAT as mandated by Tanzanian authorities. However, these rates may change without prior notice. Should such adjustments occur after your booking is confirmed, clients may be asked to cover the difference. Camelleon Safaris will notify clients promptly and transparently with official documentation if needed.

4: Price Guarantee

Once the required deposit is received, the price quoted is guaranteed and will not change due to currency fluctuations. The only exception is unforeseen increases in government fees or taxes, as mentioned above.

Quotes can be issued in:
– US Dollars (USD) – default currency
– British Pounds (GBP)
– Euros (EUR)
– Tanzanian Shillings (TZS)

5: PaymentTerms

Accepted Currencies & Methods
Camelleon Safaris accepts:
– USD (preferred)
– EUR, GBP, and TZS

Payments can be made through:
– Bank transfer / wire
– Credit or debit card
– Online platforms (e.g., PesaPal)
– Cash on arrival (strongly preferred)

Important: After completing any payment, clients are required to send proof of payment (e.g., receipt, transaction confirmation, or screenshot) to info@camelleonsafaris.com.

Payment Schedule
– Camping Safaris: 10% deposit required
– Lodge Safaris: 40% deposit required
– Tailor-Made Safaris: Up to 70% deposit may be requested

Final balance is payable upon arrival in Tanzania.

Invoices
Invoices are available upon confirmation and/or request. Each invoice includes:
– Itinerary details
– Total cost
– Amount paid and balance due
– Accepted payment methods and due dates

6: Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds are subject to:
– 10+ days before start date: Partial refund minus non-recoverable costs (permits, hotel reservations)
– Less than 10 days: No refund
– No-shows/early departures: No refund

Bank charges or fees involved in issuing refunds will be deducted from the total.

7: Itinerary Flexibility

We reserve the right to adjust itineraries based on conditions such as weather, road access, or safety. Alternative arrangements of equal value will be made where possible.

8: Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:
– Holding a valid passport and required visas
– Ensuring up-to-date vaccinations and medical advice
– Informing us of dietary needs, allergies, or medical conditions
– Following local rules and guides’ instructions
– Taking care of personal belongings

9: Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. Your policy should cover:
– Medical emergencies
– Trip interruption/cancellation
– Loss or theft of personal items
– Emergency evacuation

Camelleon Safaris is not responsible for uninsured losses or expenses.

10: Liability

Camelleon Safaris partners with third-party suppliers for lodging, transportation, and excursions. While we carefully select providers, we cannot be held liable for their actions, delays, or issues beyond our control.

11: COVID-19 Policy

Clients are advised to stay informed on current health protocols. We follow Tanzanian health regulations and encourage:
– Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or testing where required
– Use of hand sanitizer and face masks when necessary
– Reporting symptoms before or during the trip

Flexibility is offered if travel plans are disrupted due to verified COVID-related issues.

12: Safety & Travel Tips

– Always follow your guide’s instructions in wildlife areas.
– Wear appropriate clothing for both safari and mountain climates.
– Stay hydrated and use sun protection.
– Be cautious with valuables—secure them at lodges or in locked vehicles.
– We recommend registering with your embassy while traveling.

13: Governing Law

This contract is governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes will be resolved in Tanzanian courts.
