OVERVIEW
Experience 17 days and 16 nights of the safari to Tanzania, The trip will cover Selous game reserve/Nyerere National Park the jungle of Africa, Mikumi National Park, and Ruaha National
Park the largest National Park in Tanzania and making a candidate for one of the largest National Park in Africa covering an area of 20,226 sq. km, from Ruaha you will cross Tanzania via
Dodoma city to Northern Parks of Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti, and drop off will be at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Day 01: Dar Es Salaam – Selous game reserve / Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, you will be picked around 08:00am from your accommodation and have 4-5
hours’ drive to Selous Game Reserve. You will arrive with Lunch that will be served at your
accommodation, then rest in few minutes before going on for two to four hours evening boat
safari in the great Rufiji River. Later in evening you will be at Kituri camp for dinner and
overnight.
Day 02: Selous game reserve / Nyerere National Park
Wake up with early morning breakfast, then depart with packed lunch for full day game drive,
you will see elephants, rhinos, African wild dogs, hyena, greater kudu, crocodile and many more,
also attractive birds and plants too. Lunch will be served in the jungle around midday, After
lunch proceed with game drive until evening time then drive back to the camp for dinner and
overnight.
Day 03: Selous game reserve / Nyerere National Park
Go on an early morning walking safari in Selous Game Reserve and then come back to the camp
for breakfast. After breakfast depart with a packed lunch box for full day game drive. Lunch will
be served in the park during your drive and then return to the camp in the evening for dinner and
your overnight stay.
Day 04: Selous game reserve / Nyerere National Park– Mikumi National Park
After an early morning breakfast, collect all your belongings and lunch box depart for drive to
Mikumi National Park with game drive en route. The drive will take 3-4 hours lunch will be
served on the way. Mikumi is rich with wildlife, including antelopes, buffalos, elephants, zebra,
giraffe, lions and lots of baboons. Arrive with game drive until evening. D inner and overnight at
TanSwiss lodge.
Day 05: Mikumi National Park
Early morning breakfast, then depart for full day game drive in Mikumi National Park. A hot
lunch will be served in the park around midday, later in evening return to the lodge for dinner
and your overnight stay at TanSwiss Lodge.
Day 06: Mikumi National Park – Ruaha National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will collect all your belongings and depart for 6 hours road
drive to Ruaha National Park. Enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way and stop for lunch at
Iringa town, after lunch you will have excursion within the town, visit Iringa boma museum,Maasai market area and Chief Mkwawa Museum at Kalenga. From Iringa town you will proceed
with two hours to Ruaha Hilltop Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07 – 09 Full day game drive Ruaha National Park
Wake up for breakfast and then depart for full game drive with packed lunch box. Ruaha NP is a
park with high concentration of elephants than any national park in East Africa. It is also a place
where, magnificent mammals like Kudu (both Greater and Lesser), Sable and Roan antelopes
can easily be spotted in Miombo woodland. The male Kudu have beautiful spiraled horns while
male Sable antelope have impressive curved horns. The park is also a habitat for endangered
wild dogs. Other animals in the park include lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, zebras, elands,
impala, bat eared foxes and Jackals. Lunch will be served in the jungle and in evening you will
drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Ruaha National Park – Dodoma via Iringa town
Wake up in the morning around 08:30am for breakfast, after breakfast collect all your belongings
and depart for the drive to Dodoma city. You will stop for lunch and have two hours rest before
drive to Dodoma city. After 3 hours’ drive you will check in at Verde View hotel in Dodoma city
where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Dodoma City
Wake up at 08:00qm for breakfast, then get ready for excursion. You will visit parliament
building, Uhuru square/monument and other historical places around the city. During excursion
you will have time for lunch. In evening you will drive to Verde View hotel for dinner and
overnight.
Day 12: Dodoma – Manyara National Park
Wake up early at 06:00am collect your belongings, have hot breakfast then depart for four hours’
drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive. You will arrive around 11am and go
straight for game drive, in the park you will see zebra, elephant, monkey, wildebeest, waterbuck,
warthog, buffalo, just mention few, also trees and variety of birds around like silvery-cheeked
hornbill, narina trogon, crowned hornbill, schalow’s turaco, crested Guinea fowls. Lunch to beserved in the park then proceed with game drive until the evening time later drive to the Fanaka
Lodge for overnight stay.
Day 13: Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park
After early morning breakfast, you will depart around 07:30 and have 2-3 hours’ drive to
Serengeti national park crossing Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch will be served enroute,
proceeding with the drive to the plain of the Serengeti all the way to the Camp. The Park is
famous for its population of Buffaloes, giraffe, Elephants, Zebra, eland, wildebeest migration,
predators such as lion, leopard, wild dogs, black backed jackal and over 400 species of birds has
been encountered in the park. In evening drive to Into Wild Africa tented camp for dinner and
overnight stay.
Day 14: Serengeti National Park
Early morning breakfast, after breakfast collects lunch box and depart for full day game drive,
Picnic lunch served in the park, proceeding with game drive and later in the evening drive back
to the camp for overnight.
Day 15: Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast we will depart for another full day of game drive with picnic served in
the park. In the evening dinner will be served at the camp.
Day 16: Serengeti National Park – Arusha city via Ngorongoro Conservation Area
With packed breakfast and lunch, you will leave around 06:00am for the drive to Ngorongoro
conservation Area for the game drive in the crater. Breakfast will be served on the way then continue with
drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Ascend to the crater for game drive later in evening descend from the
crater for a drive to Arusha City. Your dinner and overnight will be at Mount Meru hotel.
Day 17: Depart from Arusha
After an early breakfast collect all your belongings and you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro
International Airport to catch your flight.
