the world, These Southern parks will give you a truly African safari style. Less frequented than the national parks in the north, the Southern Parks provide a sense of African adventure
unsurpassed anywhere else on the continent.
The principal areas are the Selous Game Reserve/Nyerere National Park, Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains, and Ruaha National Parks. Pick up will be at Dar Es Salaam by Safari Vehicle and
drop off by flight in Zanzibar.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Day 01: Dar Es Salaam – Selous Game Reserve/Nyerere National Park
After breakfast drive to Selous game reserve. Selous is the Africans largest game reserve covering an area of 55000 km square, yet it gets few visitors meaning you won’t come across
many other vehicles on your daily game drives. Lunch will be served en -route and proceed with drive to Selous Game reserve. Arrive with evening boat safari of at least 2 to 3 hours, then head
to Kituri camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02: Selous Game Reserve/Nyerere National Park
Wake up for early morning walking safari for Two to Four hours and come back for breakfast.After breakfast depart with pack lunch for full game drive in the Selous game reserve. Lunch
will be served in the Park and proceed with game drive until the evening time. Dinner and overnight at Kituri Camp.
Day 03: Selous Game Reserve/Nyerere National Park – Mikumi National Park
After early morning breakfast collects all your belongings and lunch box and depart to Mikumi national park, which will take 2.5 hours of drive. After arrival check in then have lunch before
departure to game drive until sunset where you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at TanSwiss lodge.
Day 04: Mikumi National Park
After breakfast depart for the full day game drive in Mikumi national park. The Park is rich of Elephant, wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo, with lots of deferent types of antelopes with beautiful
landscape. Bush lunch stop will be served in the Park, short leisure then proceed with game drive until evening.
Day 05: Mikumi National Park – Ruaha National Park via Iringa town
After an early morning breakfast collect all your belongings ready for pickup and depart to Ruaha National Park around 08:00Hrs. Enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way, you will
drive for 2-3 hours, you will stop at Iringa town for Lunch and have town excursion by visiting Iringa boma museum, iringa town, gangilonga the speaking stone and Maasai Market. After
excursion you will drive ruaha for 2 hours and check in at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 06: Ruaha National Park
Wake up for breakfast and then depart for full game drive with packed lunch box. Ruaha NP is a park with high concentration of elephants than any national park in East Africa. It is also a place
where, magnificent mammals like Kudu (both Greater and Lesser), Sable and Roan antelopes can easily be spotted in Miombo woodland. The male Kudu have beautiful spiraled horns
while male Sable antelope have impressive curved horns. The park is also a habitat for endangered wild dogs. Other animals in the park include lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes,
zebras, elands, impala, bat eared foxes and Jackals. Lunch will be served in the jungle and in evening you will drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 07: Walking safari and game drive Ruaha National Park
You will wake up early for walking safari for 2-4 hours after walk back for breakfast, then leave with packed lunch for the full day game drive, lunch will be served in the picnics site in the park.
After lunch proceed with game drive until evening time then drive back to your accommodation for dinner overnight.
Day 08: Ruaha National Park – Isimila Stone site – Iringa
From Ruaha National park you collect all your belongings and depart for the drive to Isimila stone site. You will have a day tour and your Lunch will be served during this tour. Later in
evening you will drive to Iringa town for dinner and overnight at Sunset hotel.
Day 09: Flight from Iringa to Zanzibar
You will wake up early in the morning and get ready for a transfer from your hotel to Nduli airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar.
